DRIP ELECTRONICS is proud to announce the release of its DRIP 670 version 2 PCB.
The DRIP Version 2 is a faithful re-creation of the Fairchild 670 compressor circuit. Our circuit follows the exact specifications of the 670 schematic. As with all DRIP products, there have been no alterations to the original design.

PERFORMANCE
The unit’s performance is comparable in every way to the original design. There is a shorter signal path and the unit is more compact than the original DRIP version 1 PCB.

FEATURES:
Super compact, the unit measures 16.59 wide x 13.85 inches deep, the same size as the original circuit. Vertically mounted, the PCB can be placed in a case with the same original design as the vintage unit. It is a shielded 4 layer PCB. The entire audio circuit is shielded and embedded between two heavy gauge copper layers. The PCB is now .125 inches thick and plated in pure silver over 2 ounce copper per layer, with a high performance FR4 substrate that is as strong as a sheet of steel. Internally the PCB is a masterpiece of design with each layer shielded from the next layer.

All power is separated from delicate signal connections.

Audio transformers mount on PCB integrating them into the circuit for the shortest possible signal path for the audio circuit .

All power and high voltage traces are placed on the bottom layer, while the signal and audio path are shielded between two copper layers

Original tube regulated power supply.

There are no alterations to the original 670 circuit.

Designed for use with the new JJ 6386 tube or NOS tubes.

Original bias circuit .

Optional AUTO AGC card allows for switching the AGC with a simple SPST switch. (Coming soon)

Vertical mount (like the original design) or horizontal mount.

PCB mount motor run capacitor.

Most control hook-up locations are now on the front panel side of the PCB for convenient wiring.
The control amplifier output transformers now mount off the PCB .
The unit comes with: 2 time constant PCB’s/ 1 super low noise DC heater supply PCB.
This unit is compatible with the DIY-RACKED 670 case.
